The day started out on an auspicious note as our President demonstrated is elocution skills in reading the new member swearing in ceremony for our newest member, Terry Glynn.  Prez Drew, a student of Socrates, practices his public speaking with rocks in his mouth to help with enunciation.  Unfortunately no one told him to take the rocks OUT when actually speaking in public.  But most of us knew what he was trying to say - and we certainly welcome Terry to our merry band of misfits.  He joins us under the classification of arborist, and he has a lot of credentials in that area, acting as consultant to developers, municipalities and the State of Florida as well.

Our speaker today was Wiley Thompson, candidate for Sheriff of Broward County.  Wiley comes to this area with an impressive background - former FBI agent, holding the third highest position in that institution, started the TSA office in Memphis, and has served as chief of staff and executive director of training for BSO.  A graduate of Lincoln University, the FBI academy and holding management and computing certificates from Harvard, Wiley stressed that  high visibility is needed to make BSO more effective and he is looking to instill grater pride and commitment to excellence among the BSO officers.
