The final speech for soon to be Ex-Prez Drew

END  'O THE YEAR

We enjoyed a good turnout this morning for a club assembly, where an energetic outgoing President Drew brought everybody up to speed on end-of-year business and quickly recapped some of the things our club did over the past 12 months.

Foundation Chair Todd Dayton collected enough happy dollars and 50/50 ticket sales this morning to just about put us over the top at $3,000 for the year. These dollars are earmarked to fund our club’s $1,000 per year commitment over the next three years to The Rotary Foundation Gates $100MM challenge to wipe out polio.

President-elect Bruce appeared relaxed and ready to take on the new Rotary year, however President-elect-elect Todd still seems a bit twitchy. All look forward to our 21st installation banquet this Saturday evening at the Coral Springs Country Club. Many thanks to President Drew and all 2007-08 officers, directors and committee chairs for a great year!
