As some of the newer members may not be aware one of the programs sponsored by the Rotary Foundation is the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar program.  Each District awards scholarships based on that District's donations to the Foundation the previous year - so the dollars we raise really do come back to us in various forms.

There was a second, unannounced speaker but unfortunately the Web Nerd has forgotten his name.  He did have a very interesting presentation on his travels through parts of Eastern Europe, the home of his ancestors, and maybe he will schedule an actual presentation so he will have more time to give his entire talk.
