INSTALLATION 2009 The gavel passes without a coup d'etat - or as would more likely be the case, without a gun to the new president's head!
Todd Finkel could escape it no longer - is is going to be DA MAN in a few short weeks. And a terrific evening at Runyon's was had to enjoy the event. And we had three year's worth of district brass in attendance - incoming DG Lee Phares and husband Elihue, DG futhre wanna be Doug Maymon and wife Debbie, and our own DG wanna wanna be Todd Dayton and wife Wendy. Of course they all sat together cause no one wanted to sit with them.
And outgoing Pres Bruce had a great slide show of the year's events, but it turned really ugly when he showed a video of questionable taste, capped off by the audio of that video reprising some really awful singing which is reported to have cracked some windows at Runyon's.
Aside from the usual swearings in the top prizes were awarded as follows: ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Mitch "Moment of Silence" Feld ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR: Todd "Have I told you about the Rotary Foundation" Dayton
