CHALLENGER!!

It is that time of year again when Randy Hibsman stops by to thank us for our donation to the Coral Springs Challenger Little League.  Our contribution pales by comparison to the thanks and recognition we receive from Randy.

He never fails to entertain us with heart warming stories about the goings on at the games - this time telling about a kid who hit a long ball to the outfield that was actually caught by the fielder (Randy's son).  That had never happened before and no one knew what to do!!

Unlike regular Little League there are no outs, every one bats, every one runs (or wheels) the bases and everyone has a great time.

There are currently 200 players in the league, which will be celebrating its 20th year next year.  It covers Parkland to Weston and runs from mid-February to May.  The league charges parents nothing to participate - uniforms, pictures, equipment, etc are all paid by the league (through donations) and there is also an end of year picnic for all.  Each child is provided an individual collage with the child and the team - see below.
