Club Assembly

We had a light turnout today, with many out-of-towners and vacationers missing. This morning’s meeting was a Club Assembly, with the assembled getting their arms around the impending end of another successful Rotary year. Tom Pratt introduced his guest, Ruddy Arguello, a new associate with his firm, whom he hopes to acclimate with a Miami area Rotary club as soon as Ruddy is up and running. Drew the Elder collected Happy Dollars. Prez Todd covered upcoming events, including our Scholarship Awards Breakfast on June 8, a formal $17,500 check presentation to the board of Family Central on June 9 and our Installation Banquet on June 27 at Fogarty’s Restaurant.

Other topics discussed were business covered at the May 20th Board Meeting; the new Boundless Playground at Sherwood Forest Park sponsored by our club; Our (4) Interact Clubs’ plans for next year, including a bike safety & awareness day with cycling events for all ages; District Simplified and Matching Grant opportunities for 2010-2011; and a callout for Youth Exchange host families and

 program participants.
