Need we say more?

OUR CZECH MATE

and

JPT Senior of the Month

So it's a new school year and John Congemi is looking for free food, so he shows up at Taravella and volunteers to bring the Senior of the Month to us!  And he gave us an update on what is going on at JPT in the bargain.

JPT has about 90 Partners in Education and they partner with other local elementary and middle schools in that effort.

JC then introduced this year's first Senior of the Month - James Newman.  Very active in school politics he is the Senior Class President and has a wimpy 5.5 weighted GPA on the side.  He is also involved with GIVE - Global Impact Volunteer Expedition which has done service work in Peru and Guatamala.  He hopes to have a career in politics after doing college at UF and law school thereafter.

Our speaker today was our very enthusiastic inbound Exchange Student Aneta Lysáková from the Czech Republic.  Aneta is the first exchange student from Czech Republic in District 6990 since 1994, and if all students from there are like her, we will have more soon.  She gave a great powerpoint presentation about her country, its tourist areas, her town, and more importantly, her family.  Her family includes, by the way, a brother and sister born the same day as her - she is a triplet!  :-)
