Tom Pratt spoke about the Bowl-a-Thon, which will be scheduled for either the first or second weekend in October. He is tying to get the fee waived from the bowling alley. Considering making it a challenge between the 3 interact clubs. Start thinking now about items for the raffle.

Joe Roth, the GSE Chair and a member of the Weston Rotary Club visited to speak about GSE. The visiting group will be here during the month of November. Todd Finkel recommended that we have them visit our club. Joe is also looking for members of the team that will go to Lima Peru in May 2010. The trip will be for one month and all travel related expenses are paid by the Rotary Foundation. Currently taking applications for a Group Leader. This person should be a seasoned Rotarian with leadership experience. Also accepting application for team members. These applicants should be 25-40 years old and non-rotarians. Interviews will be in mid-January.

Luis Miguel visited the club to speak about his Eagle Scout project. Luis is a scout in Troop 2372 in Coconut Creek. He is assembling hurricane relief kits for the senior citizens at St. Andrews Tower in Coral Springs. Rotary members brought cans of peanut butter to donate. Luis is also in need of canned corn and canned green beans. He will be having a car was in Coconut Creek this weekend to raise money and accept donations. Todd Finkel to forward the exact details.
