Several of our members, and our Inbound Exchange Student,  had the opportunity to meet and greet the current President of Rotary International, Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar.  A very down to earth individual he repeated his oft said wish that every 17 year old student become an exchange student - and if that were true there would be no more war.  He also expressed a strong desire for Rotary to adopt to 2005 and change some things that have been around since 1905.  "What worked then will not work now."  How refreshing.  He is a strong advocate for increasing not only the numbers of women in Rotary, but the role of women as well.  He related all the women he has appointed to leadership positions, including the first Foundation Director.  It was a pleasurable evening and District 6930 was a consummate host.
