JUNE 5, 2001 MEETING |
Speakers! We had speakers! |
| We all know that it is sometimes a tad difficult to get speakers for a 7:30 morning meeting. Today we had three, count 'em three, willing volunteers. Read on! |

Our first presentation was from Stacey Zebrick, our scholarship award winner from Douglas High School. She will be studying political science in college and wants to be a lawyer - the committee did not know that!!! :-)
Good luck Stacey! |
Nest came Maxmilian von Raben, our Inbound exchange student who told about his year in South Florida, well, about most of it anyway. |
Max thanked the club, his host families and was really thankful for his year hear and ESPECIALLY FOR THE GIRLS!!! We expect that his family will need to give him a long, long cold shower when he gets home! |
The LATE Mr. Banks shows up Big fine next week, bigger if he doesn't show |
Our "SPEAKER" was MaryEve Tearle from Broward Community College. Director of the Center for Business and Industry Thanks MaryEve! |
A great program about an opportunity at BCC to learn about yourself and gain confidence in several "team building" and leadership courses - including jumping off a 35 foot tower - go for it President Carl! MaryEve's son will be a short term exchange student this summer to Germany sponsored by our club. |
Max with Douglas High letter jacket and Sir Doug Betlach! |
