Frank Rhoden with Prez Tom

SENIOR OF THE MONTH

NEW MEMBER

If it is the last day of the month it must mean John Congemi coming to visit us, eat our food, and try to win our 50/50 pot again!  As usual he gave us the state of the school information, reporting that more than 1,200 students at Douglas got a score of 3 on the AP exams, more than any other school in the state.  He also indicated that the new track will be installed soon, and that this week 110 Douglas seniors will be taking part in he annual Ethics Seminar.

John then introduced Stephen Mayper, senior of the month for the month of January.  In a humorous talk Steven outlined his typical week, from computer geek, to weight lifter, to science student, to couch potato, to volunteer at Coral Springs Medical Center, to tutoring in math, to delegate to the Model UN.  He will be attending UF and will be studying microbiology.  There was no one in the audience smart enough to discuss that with him.

Next on the agenda was the induction of new member Frank Rhoden under the classification of Real Estate.  A native of Jamaica, he has resided in Canada and gone to various schools around the US.  He holds several degrees and now concentrates in commercial real estate and consulting work.  We are happy to have him aboard!
