Gary Curreri - Newsman Garry Curreri was a member of this club when it was known as the Rotary Club of Coral Springs Sawgrass. That was back in the early 90s. And he hasn't changed much physically since, nor has his sense of humor changed either. Gary's first journalistic efforts were in grade school as he prodouced a neighborhood journal. This grew until he landed a position on a weekly paper or "fish wrapper" as we lovingly refer to them. Now Gary is with the largest Broward paper, the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel and his beat is sports, as always, covering all manner and form of local and high school sports. Gary gave us a little background on the life of a reporter, which considering his friend who was recently wounded in Haiti, is not always safe and pleasant. |
