MARCH 27, 2001 MEETING

Randy Silbiger

CLUB SPONSORS CUB SCOUTS!

The Board of Directors voted to sponsor a local cub scout pack, and leader Randy Silbiger attended the meeting today both in order to express appreciation, but to explain about scouting in general and Pack 360 in particular.  Even those of us in the audience who were former scouts learned a lot about the various stages in a Boy Scout's career, from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout, and the various stages in between.    Randy also highlighted some of the changes in scouting over the years from its first roots in England at the turn of the century to today's local controversy about positions taken by scouting.

To the left Gloria and Randy hold up the Pack's banner which in the future will show our club as the sponsor and "Coral Springs" as the city.  (Can't fit Parkland on there too, eh??

  In other news:

Dennis said we should know next week about how many $$ we took in at the Honda Classic.  He said he will pay out of his pocket every dollar under $3,000 if we don't hit that figure.  Whatta guy!

Eagle Trace will be closed from May 1 to October 1, forcing us to move for that time.  Carl will report on his preview of alternate spot the club at Heron Bay.

And speaking of Heron Bay, click on the picture to see the menu, if we do the installation dinner there:
