Well, 2we finally got under way with our "craft talks" - initiated by master humorist Al Sherman.  The first two victims speakers who had the honor and privilege of speaking before the group (and had the honor of handing over a crisp $20) were Tom Pratt and Mickey Berk.

Tom was born and raised in Miami and is currently in the financial planning industry working through American Express.  Being part of  a self described "blended" family he has 5 kids with two sets of two the same age.  He came out of a family that had an office supply business in Miami for many years and he and his wife enjoy competitive dancing!

Mickey and his family moved to the Coral Springs area in 1972 and for many years owned a Hallmark card shop in what was the Coral Springs Mall.  At one point they had 5 stores and currently have stores in the Coral Square Mall and one in the Pompano Fashion Square, an establishment currently undergoing a major renovation.
