Mike Noonan Al Hoffer's Pest Control
|
BUGS!
Charter member Bill Pfeiffer arranged for our speaker today, Mike Noonan from Al Hoffer's Pest Control. Actually Mike is responsible for more than just pests and spoke today about a rather current topic, our current drought and how to water and fertilize sensibly in light of current conditions. There were also many questions concerning the treatment and eradication of lawn and ornamental insects, and an update on current chemicals and products available, both to the homeowner and professional alike. He did stress, however, that the best way to deal with the care and maintenance of lawn and garden areas, including exotic palms, is with a professional. Thanks to Bill for arranging today's program. Of course Al Hoffer IS Bill's son-in-law so it was not a stretch to get today's speaker! |
Some of the golf tournament loot! Only FOUR more days!!

Visiting us today was former member, Past President and current Weston Club member Steve Goldstein. And he had the nerve to have his number pulled in the 50/50 - but no ace of hearts! Also gave TWO happy dollars. Great to have Steve with us! |
| Final
tally from the Honda Classic Beer and Dog booth - about $2,900.00 (plus
all the hot dogs and chicken sandwiches we could eat!) That includes
over $800 in tips!!
GREAT JOB!!! |
