MAY 22, 2001 MEETING

Youth Day

     Except for the fact that the meeting today was presided over by Prez Carl today was a sort of youth day.  (The youngest thing about Carl is his Medicare card!)
We were pleased to have as our first speaker Rana Yehia, the 2001 winner of our scholarship from Coral Springs High School.  While there were many worthwhile candidates, and the Scholarship committee had to think long and hard before choosing, after meeting and hearing Rana there was no doubt that the committee made the right choice.

After Rana was presented with her award Prez Carl awarded Tara Overzat a Certificate of Appreciation as this year's Interact President at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.   (right)  Tara did a great job revitalizing the club, and she will be ably followed by Jamie McNaughton, next year's president.

Prez Carl Lammers also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the club's sponsor, Peggy Lammers - no relation :-) Interact President Elect Jamie McNaughton, Peggy Lammers, club sponsor, Tara Overzat, Interact President 2000 - 2001
