CRAFT TALKS  - PART DEUX

This week we met at the Courtyards as it was the day after a holiday and the Eagle was resting.  And it was the second round of "shop talks", or really family histories and the performers today were Drew Monaghan and Al Sherman.

Drew grew up in Philadelphia in an Irish family with a ton of kids.  He is proud that his name is spelled the Irish way, with the "g" in the middle, but that probably leads to a lot of misspellings.  After a few years in sales he hooked up with his current company and is arranging 1031 exchanges for real estate investors.

Al was raised in Buffalo and also came from a large family.    As he stated it was so large that he was related to anyone that was Jewish in Buffalo.  He joined the military in the Second World War and came to Miami - and basically never left.  He joined a janitorial service company for which he worked for years in the South Florida area.  A member of the Delray club for many years he got them active in Foundation giving and he has now turned those efforts on us.  He is now starting a business supplying non-toxic cleaning supplies.
