Scholarship Breakfast

Give Away da Money!

Today was the annual Scholarship Breakfast attended by our winners from Douglas, Coral Springs and Coral Springs Charter High Schools. Each was given a check for $1,000.00. Our winners, pictured to the left, are:

Darci Knecht: Coral Springs Charter School; will attend Florida Gulf Coast University.

Pamela Belliveau: Douglas High School; will attend Florida State University, Honors Program

Nadia Tackore: Coral Springs High; will attend University of Florida, pre-med. (Coral Springs Medical Center Scholarship winner)

Bethani Thomas: Coral Springs High; will attend Florida State; pharmacy

It was noted that the two candidates from Coral Springs High were so good the committee elected to give out two scholarships!! Congratulations to all of the winners.

The "feel good" didn't end. Prez Drew next presented a check to Coach Dave Grad and Assistant Principal John Congemi for $7,500, part of the proceeds from our golf tournament, to be used for the new Douglas High stadium. John also thanked the club for participating in the "Senior of the Month" program that he stated, and thanked individually members of the club that participate in Douglas' "Partners in Excellence" program.
