Brenda Beck, United Pet Way

UNITED PET WAY

Brenda Beck, founder and President of United Pet Way was the speaker today, informing the group of the efforts of her organization.  This group, totally volunteer and donation funded, produces a magazine, web site and other information disseminated to the public promoting the spaying, neutering and adoption of abandoned or homeless animals.  Her magazine lists "no kill" shelters and the pets available there for adoption, as well as other sources for the adoption of animals in lieu of putting these animals to death.  Their mission statement:  The United Pet Way (UPW) is a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit No-Kill Animal Welfare Advocate umbrella organization that provides assistance to other non-profit no-kill animal rescue organizations nationwide. Our mission is to help many of the under-funded and un-recognized no-kill animal rescue organizations. UPW provides these organizations with free pet adoption resources including allowing organizations to visually display their shelter's name and images of homeless animals for adoption, high visual marketing, educational materials, multi-media presentations, spay and neuter resources, and animal health resources. UPW provides these services through its website and publication, the Save-A-Pet Adoption Guide.
