District Governor's Visit

Lend a Hand

Today was the annual visit from our District Governor, this year Bob Simon and his wife and Assistant Mailynn.  Bob was introduced by Assistant District Governor Paul Alcock, a member of the near by Rotary Club of a similar name that aspires to reach the levels of our club.

CG Bob has been a member of Rotary since the late '60's and moved to Florida in 1970 when he joined the Pompano Club, of which he was President in 1989 - 90 and still is a member.  He has been active in the District in many areas but has concentrated on the Rotary Foundation

DG Bob focused on the goals of RI President Jonathan Majiyagbe, whose theme is "Lend a Hand" and he set forth his own goals for District 6990 in year 2003 - 2004.

There are many ambitious plans for the year ahead, and one of the things that he stressed is that Rotary should be fun - like the cruise in September that will be the District Conference among no less than 5 Rotary Districts.

Lend a Hand.
