CLUB ASSEMBLY Prez Drew announced this as a club assembly, and it started out that way. Drew reflected on last week's meeting with the District Governor and the meeting the night before with the Board and the DG. We hav some goals and we have some duty spots to fill but we are on our way!!
A new project that Gerry Sussman presented to us was involving the Coral Springs International Partnerships and a "sister city" type arrangement with Petah Tikvah in Israel. Gerry spoke about the connection and at the meeting was Joyce Campos, a member of CSIP and with the public relations department of the City of Coral Springs. As part of the arrangement Gerry is coordinating an event, with our assistance, which will bring trauma specialists from Israel to speak about trauma, first response and such matters to a targeted audience of governmental officials as well as trauma responders in the medical , police and related fields.
We were also addressed briefly by Barry Soloway from Tucson, AZ, a member of the Tucson Sunrise Club and a new Rotarian there. He got our banner - will we get his??
We were also happy to have long time member and now honorary member Bill Pfeiffer in attendance, and Steve Getter back recovered from a recent illness. |
