Andy Banks Day

     Today was Andy's day.  First he arranged for a great speaker - more on that later.  Then he presents the club with a banner from the Rotary Club of Prague City that his dad John Banks (former Rotarian) got for us (see below) then he gets trashed by the members for (1) showing up, and (2) intimating that he has a friend (his speaker).  It was all in good fun.  Well, that's what we told him.  And oh yes, he "volunteered" to be the captain of our softball team - that means he buys the beer!!!

     Our speaker today was Scott Hays, the reputed friend of Andy, and a member of The Fusion Group.  Scott gave a great presentation on how to develop and give a great presentation.  His firm has developed a format called "Ready, Set, Go!" and they give seminars to various professions  on how to do an effective presentation - from identifying the audience to how to sum up.  Scott was very animated in HIS presentation and handed out an outline to follow to do as his seminars teach.

     Also in the audience was Ray Callahan a prospective member who did not seen to be turned off by our usual antics.   He even said he would be back - did anyone get his tag number???

Prez Gloria was let out of training to attend the meeting.  Probably back in shackles by now.

Softball tentatively set for September 16th.  Bill Pfeiffer will play home plate.  Remember if you know someone that can SPELL Rotary they can play - you are allowed to spot them a few letters too!!!  Remember we have never lost a game to a Kiwanis Club.
