North Broward Auxiliary

Children's Home Society

We were visited today by three women from the North Broward Auxiliary of the Children's Home Society, a non-profit organization which turned 100 this year and whose members and are all volunteers; thus, all of the funds raised by the organization goes to help fund the hundreds of foster care facilities they support in addition to their own facility which houses up to 35 children.  While their goal is to try to keep families together the Society is often the last stop for many abused and neglected children.  As with many charities the CHS has had a dramatic downturn in charitable giving, and are redoubling their efforts to make their 100th year a real success.
