A GREAT Meeting

Overcoming a location problem we had a great meeting today, with lots of guests and interesting stuff.

First, we were happy to host Assistant Stoneman Douglas Principal John Congemi, proudly wearing his District 6990 pin having been an honorary member of the Weston club and soon (?) to be the same here.  Filling the group in on things going on at MSD he said that the Interact Club, OUR Interact club, had a first meeting of over 70 members and a new sponsor.  He gave an update on other matters like the proposed stadium and fund raising efforts, school registration and  school boundaries.

John then introduced Brittany Roberts, the unanimous Senior of the Year.  An outstanding student who was the unanimous choice among the faculty (who chooses the student of the month) and a future Hurricane (University of Miami) attendee.

We also had some of the Directors of the Coral Springs International Partnerships with us today, the lead organization in the symposium developed by Gerry Susssman, also a CSIP Director.  Gerry showed a video promo and the various fund raising plans were discussed.

A divers group!
