International Day!!
This was international visitor day as our
program was our exchange student from Austria, Kathy Bottig, and we
had a visit from the team leader from the Group study Exchange Team
from District 2400, Liliann Bjerström (a
name Prez Dennis got almost right!)
Kathy is from Baden,
Austria which is just outside Vienna. She is the youngest of
four girls and will be studying tourism when she returns home.
She currently attends Pompano Beach High School, which is a magnet
school for International Studies, and is being hosted by Jeannie
Bibergall whose son, Edi, is our Outbound student to Japan.
Kathi noted that one of her favorite pastimes is just "hanging out"
with her friends, something she does here as well as she does at home
in Austria. Today was a special day for her also as yesterday
was her 16th birthday, and the club did a lousy rendition of "Happy
Birthday"!!!
Lillian is from
Karlskrona, Sweden and is here with six GSE team members from District
2400 in Sweden. Having already enjoyed the Keys and the Bahamas
the group is headed to Miami for the last 10 days of their five week
tour. You may note that she has spent some time in the sun!! |
