Club Assembly

Ardent readers of these pages (both of you) would probably think that a club assembly would not generate a report.  BUT SUCH IS NOT THE CASE!!  This club is more creative than that!!

So everyone thought that Ken Greenwood retired.  WRONG!  Well, not totally wrong, but not totally right.  You see knowing the fun loving kinda guy Ken is, and his yearning for adventure, he has signed on to be our "Ace Cub Reporter On the Road", our own Charles Kerault so to speak, (but with only one wife).  So when we have "slow news days" we hope that Ken will provide us scintillating reports from around the globe (or at least to where he can drive the motor home).

Fulfilling his responsibilities, Ken has forwarded his first pictures - these from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.  (Side note - disappointed that they could not experience a hurricane in Florida, Ken and Joyce drove to Nova Scotia to see if the motor home could become airborne with Hurricane Juan.)

While in Nova Scotia the Greenwoods came across an event of unbridled excitement - the Rotary Club of Lunenburg's Annual Ox Pull!!  This event makes a UM-FSU game look like a tea dance!  Look at the pictures to the left - look at that ACTION!!  Thank goodness Ken has a high speed camera to catch that action!!  And the sheer excitement is clearly visible on the faces in the crowd!

Unfortunately Ken did not have the ability to capture audio, because right after singing "Oh, Canada" to start the event the crowd did a thoroughly animated version of "The Lumberjack" song.

Til next time.

A real hoot!!

Thrills,

spills,

action!!!

Lookin' for the beer stand
