Big crowd today - and a great meeting with lots of new stuff.  Prez Tom unveiled a new look, John Congemi gave us an update as to what was going on at Douglas; John then introduced Brandon Schaub who is a volunteer extraordinaire who plans on attending college in Florida.

The speaker today was Jeremy Ring who is currently seeking employment in a manner we can't talk about ;-), but having been on the ground floor of Yahoo (after renting and living in a closet in New York - for real!) he presented a fantastic and interesting history of the growth of Yahoo (the brainchild of two bored California university students) - including some really cool facts - like Yahoo almost bought Google; it had an offer to be purchased several years after its inception for $1 million and is now worth in the BILLIONS; it bought broadcast.com from Mark Cuban who walked away a millionaire (and broadcast.com tanked).  Yahoo was the first internet company to advertise on TV.  A fantastic history of a dynamic company.

Also visiting today was Renan Portelinha, our Inbound student from Brazil and his host Dad Petter Syse, who is also the father of our outbound student to Brazil, Bjorn.
