The month ended with the usual appearance by John Congemi, honorary member and Assistant Principal at Douglas.  In addition to updating us about the upcoming FCAT and the Douglas stadium project, and other matters at the school, he introduced this month's Senior of the Month, Madeline Verba.  Madeline is looking to go to UCF next year and is hoping to pursue a career in the hospitality field, specifically hotel management.  Accompanying Madeline was proud mother and Douglas Social Studies teacher Carla Verba.

The speaker today was Matt Kinsey with the topic of Persuasive Presentations.  He shared with the group his own personal experiences and tips and pointers about how to deliver a presentation with results and no nervousness.
