DECEMBER 4, 2001 MEETING

Not happy about giving a speech at 7:30 AM!

YOUTH EXCHANGE AND A GREAT TURNOUT!!!

We had a terrific meeting today with a lot of conviviality!  Unfortunately most of the members have no idea what conviviality means and assume it is something one can get arrested for or, in the alternative, need penicillin to treat.  HARK!!! Neither is the case!!

Our program today was Suellen Souza, our Youth Exchange student from Brazil.  Suellen, who is sponsored from her home town club, the  ARAPONGAS ROTARY CLUB, gave a great slide presentation about her country and the area that she calls home.  She had a lot of pictures (sorry - didn't get good shots of them) of many of the beautiful sights in Brazil, including Rio and some really gorgeous waterfalls that are partially in Brazil and other adjoining countries, like Paraguay.   A great and interesting talk - and in English as well!!

     Well done Suellen!!

Did a great job!

NOTES:

OK, he paid the "Happy Dollar" fee, but we think Terry may be a tad beside himself!!  His daughter, about to graduate from FSU has announced her engagement - congrats to the Witchers and Christina - Terry, being the bean counter, is trying to figure out how many lobsters he will have to bag to pay for this!!!  Lorrie will make a great Bride Mom - Terry,  taking up a collection going down the aisle, will be a little tacky!!

PAAAAAAAAAAAAATY!!  on the 15th.  Bring your Caribbean shirt and boat shoes and if someone says "jerk" they are talking about the food, not the Host!!!  Well, we hope so anyway.

Board Meeting on the 13th at the usual place.  Wings Plus on Sample.
