Senior of the Month Marc Levitt A VERY quite meeting today. The scheduled speaker failed to appear and our Prez finds himself in a cold New York. But not to worry. In attendance was our Honorary Member John Congemi, Douglas High Assistant Principal, and the Student of the Month, Marc Levitt. John filled us in about what is going on at Douglas and about the various districting plans that are in the works for Douglas and other area schools. With a new school opening next year the boundary lines for the students are a hot issue, as is the possibility of double sessions. And next year school will start about 2 weeks earlier than other years, bring Broward in line with other Florida counties.
Senior of the Month was then introduced, and it is obvious why he was chosen over the most candidates ever submitted. Marc has done hundreds of hours of community service, including many such hours at Douglas getting its computer system up and running. marc plans on attending UF or FSU and plans to attend law school toward a future career in politics.
